A live concert of frame drums, rattles and overtone singing from around the world
Gian Carlo brings together instruments and vocal traditions from cultures across the globe: the steady pulse of frame drums, the soft rustle of rattles and the deep, layered resonance of overtone singing. People have played this music around the fire for thousands of years. Now it fills TODA's 360° immersive space.
The rhythms begin slow and close, like a heartbeat, then build into a sound that surrounds you from every side. It's a concert you feel as much as hear: an evening of music about where we come from and the voices that came before us.
What to bring:
A blanket, hoodie or warm socks. You'll be sitting still for the whole performance, and the hall can feel cool.
